The project aimed to create maps/levels within Gem editor. This created content would then be packed into mod files and uploaded to Steam Workshop. Finally, video and social media content were created to support and raise interest in the project.

I came into this project with a foothold already in the community, as before university, I had created and uploaded three levels, Hornets’ Nest, Hill Climb and Badger Farm, to the Steam workshop. Due to my previous experience and links already within the community I felt this project offered a wide range of potential outreach.

My plan for this project was to produce a fashion advertisement video from a Depop seller that sells vintage clothes. Using my videography skills, I wanted to emphasise the importance of upcycling clothing through a variety of shot styles that focuses on the textures of the clothing.

The garment industry has been one of the main causes of environmental damage therefore the video would have been a great way to advertise how to shop better and show people how they can positively impact the environment.

For my Creative Media Project I chose to work with and create graphic designs and digital media for Elizabeth Feast Loose Covers. I wanted to work with a client that didn’t have a lot of social media presence/basic graphics and website prior to working with them as this would give me a lot of freedom to design a brand for them.

This would also give my work a purpose as Elizabeth is in need of a brand identity and digital media marketing. My aims were to create a new, refreshed website that is easy to navigate and clearly reflects the business and what they do, design a logo for the brand – this was to be started from scratch due to no logo being present, and to create updated social media posts showing her work.

For my approach to the brief, I decided to develop a 3D modelling portfolio project which could be applied to games. I set out to create a 3D street environment within the Cyberpunk genre developed within Blender.

My final project consists of 2 environments based on a Cyberpunk theme. I opted to go for futuristic, realistic 3D game engine style graphics over 2D cartoon style graphics after being inspired by my background research.

I decided to split this project into two main parts. The first part being for the business I am working for – Yorkshire Vehicle Finance. They recently decided in the last two years to branch into Electric Vehicle Leasing whereby I played a role in the web design, marketing, graphic design and advertisement of the company.

In the recent year, they decided to also produce a website exclusive to Tesla leasing. So, I decided the graphic design, web design and marketing of this new business online would play a role in my project.

Alongside this, I wanted to try making an animated art piece. I originally had the idea in January to create a cartoon portrait that would have some simplistic animation, and simple changes to the environment around the character. This stemmed after I was browsing different art styles that I was gaining inspiration from on Instagram. I produced a character inspired by an artist named ‘__polincher__ ‘ and thought about making an animated scene derived from this single art piece I made. So, I planned on using Adobe Photoshop and After Effects to create an Animated Video with some implemented sound design to match it.

For my project I decided to make an online magazine about student life, this is made for students to look at to make life a little easier, do not make the mistakes or miss the tricks that I did the first-time round. I decided on the subtopics of mental health, budgeting, general health, home organisation, uni hacks and about me.

My online magazine consists of one article per subtopic, as the idea is it’s the start of the magazine development and will be added by me, and potentially other students, as everyone has different and helpful ideas to hack the university life.
